Estonian Air to support development of a sustainable society
AS Estonian Air, Estonia’s national carrier, publishing today its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Statement. The statement profiles the company’s commitment in four areas: environment, customers, employees and community.
"One of our management’s directions under the new strategy is to become a good corporate citizen and treat our customers, employees, surrounding public and environment with respect and sustainability in mind, " explained Tero Taskila, the CEO of Estonian Air.
Estonian Air is committed to expand its operations in a sustainable manner for the benefit of its customers, employees, communities and environment. The company takes a pro-active approach to its corporate responsibility, which is deeply rooted in its corporate strategy and business decisions at executive level.
"With this in mind, we are about to systematize our contribution to the areas covered in the CSR statement, like environmental projects focusing on fuel saving and reducing CO2 emissions, enhancing the development of education, sports, and culture, contributing to the development of charity organisations etc, and to polish Estonian Air’s principles and policies for further activities," added Taskila.
